CWJ Newsletter June 5, 2012
Changes are brewing
In the massive undertaking it has been to go through the files, update everything, it has of course taken more time than I thought. In entering the subscribers into the new database I have corrected and updated as many of the addresses as I could. Canada Post also has a new policy: if it comes back I pay the original postage on it -again. There are no postal subsidies available at least for the first year it goes back into production, and the ones available after that are not encouraging. So, rather than have the magazine return, it is far cheaper to have a first class envelope return. I will be mailing a letter to confirm addresses before I start mailing the magazines. Confirming your address will insure a speedier reply. It can be done by mail, email or fax. The February and April issues are set to go. The June issue is about half-done. We are updating the subscription information with our new-found figures factored in.
While we were crunching all the nimbers and getting evrerything in place, it was becoming more difficult to get around the CWJ website- so we cleaned it all out as well. I hope you like the look. Most of the changes are in organizationa nad file structure--and therefore not visible to the viewer. But I can tell you with complete sincerity that a website that has been around since 1996 collects a lot of debris and extinct files behind the scenes. They're all taken care of now.
It all helps.
Don't forget to respond to your confirmation letter, as soon as possible.
